Kaligirwa Namahoro (they/she/he) is a queer agender researcher, advocate, and communications professional based in Quebec whose work spans media analysis, social justice, and critical disability discourse. They examine the intersections of race, disability, and structural inequity, with particular attention to epistemic justice, diagnostic disparities, and the dynamics of online discourse. Their work integrates empirical media research with community-centered advocacy, positioning them as a prominent voice at the intersection of communication, disability justice, and intersectional analysis. Kaligirwa has co-authored research on misinformation and its impact on democratic processes, including its influence on the 2022 Quebec provincial election, in collaboration with the Media Ecosystem Observatory and the Centre for Media, Technology, and Democracy.
