Understanding Equalizing
You'll learn what equalizing is for all ages, how to identify common and “invisible” ways adults equalize against children and other adults, and how to break the cycle of constant conflict.
Understand Foundational Needs
Foundational needs for PDA’ers are needs that can be met by the PDA’er through equalizing, or can instead be met proactively by others to reduce the need for equalizing. Topics include learning about “real” autonomy, an approach to equity that rejects hierarchy, and shifting our mindset around social skills and pragmatics to be neurodivergent centered and affirming.
Learn to Proactively Equalize
Learn how to accommodate and support adaptive equalizing, how to dis-accomodate maladaptive equalizing, and how to tell the difference, all through the use of real life examples. Replace ineffective behavior management strategies with a “needs centered” approach, where the focus is on meeting everyone’s needs, not just the PDA’ers. Using real life video examples, Keri also discusses multiple playful strategies for how to “proactively meet equalizing needs” while honoring everyone’s autonomy in the process.

HOLY MOLY. We have a kiddo with a suspected PDA profile and have been on a journey to understand and support her. This talk was the most helpful content I have EVER encountered about PDA. Keri has an unbelievable amount of knowledge and understanding, and she is amazing at putting the information together in a way that is logical, easy to understand, and thoughtful. It's both theoretical (which helps to put the behaviors etc. that we experience into a wider context) and super practical. If you have or work with a kiddo with PDA, this talk is an absolute must. It might seem long, but I was honestly riveted the entire 2.5 hours and plan to review it again multiple times. She gives so many concrete examples and even has her kids share their perspectives which was so helpful - you can see for yourself how this approach supports kids as they grow into adults and how positive the outcomes can be. It gave me so much hope for our parenting journey and our kiddo's future and so much hope that we can get to a better place as a family. I'm so grateful Keri put this together and cannot wait for the future planned content.

I'm amazed at the depth and clarity Keri brought to the understanding of equalizing. I have twins who are both AuDHD and PDA, its been a struggle to understand how to support them. This course helped me to make sense out of the behaviors and gave me hope that there are ways to parent them that prioritize connection.

“This course changed my life in a single day. It gave me clarity, language, and understanding I’ve been searching for for years. It is easily the best money I’ve ever spent — the value it brought to my family, my mindset, and my ability to support my child is beyond anything I expected.”

CANNOT WAIT FOR PART 2! As a practicing occupational therapist with young PDAers, I could not have benefitted from this more. So many practical tips I can pull into my practice today, and great information to pass on to parents.

This is, by far, one of the best courses I have seen in my 50+ years as a pediatric OT. I only wish I learned all about this many years ago. So relevant and great practical information presented in a clear and functional manner. Thank you so much! Looking forward to part 2.

Absolutely Life (and mind) Changing. I'd never heard of this presenter before but saw her website and decided it was worth a watch. WOW. 🤯 There is SO much in this training. It could be made into an entire weekend retreat or parenting book. I had to listen to it in smaller chunks because the insight was so dense, I needed to process and practice it as I received multiple enlightening moments throughout the 2+hours or insight! Literally every aspect of this surpassed my expectations, from the visuals to the personal videos shared- even the tone and cedance of Keri's voice! To offer perspective: I am a parent to a PDA child as well as a professional homeschool mentor for parents and kids who need an outside of the box leaning approach. I'm also a credentialed teacher. I've sat though decades of virtual and in-person trainings. I've GIVEN and lead numerous trainings and am, myself a mentor to adults and children...all this to say, the bar is high! I found this to be one of the most impactful offerings of insight that I've ever had access to. I felt seen, validated, challenged, and found myself rewinding multiple times in order to process the insight better. This training is a GIFT for any parent or educator, including those who "know" PDA and might hesitate to invest in yet another training. Keri takes us FAR beyond the basics of a low demand approach and REALLY clarifies so many of the bigger questions and ponderings that parents raising PDA kids have: boundaries, maladaptive behaviors, autonomy (for PDA kids and for their parents), consent....just SO much! I'll play this one back again and again...I'm sure different parts will jump out at me through my child's growth and development! I'm tempted to replay it immediately. It's truly worth your time.
